About the Role

Al Rayana Charter School in Abu Dhabi is seeking an outstanding UAE National Inclusion Assistant for an immediate start. Additionally, this full-time support position involves providing assistance for individual pupils both inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in a range of activities during the school day. Furthermore, the successful candidate will assist in the implementation of individual education programmes linked to students’ IEP goals and contribute to monitoring their progress and attainment.

Key Responsibilities for Inclusion Assistant at Alrayana Charter School Abu Dhabi

As an Inclusion Assistant, you will support individual pupils in relation to their additional support needs including academic, physical, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Moreover, you will help develop students’ social and communication skills while promoting independence by teaching clear and meaningful strategies. In addition, you will prepare necessary resources to assist identified students in accessing or differentiating the curriculum to support learning. Furthermore, you will attend and deliver intervention for speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA therapy to help consolidate target skills. You will also attend ECAs, trips, and visits while building close working relationships with homeroom and subject teachers.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be a UAE National and hold a minimum SEN qualification at diploma level. Additionally, a minimum of two years of SEN experience is required for this position. Moreover, candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to matters relating to health, safety, and student wellbeing. Furthermore, strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and external professionals such as speech therapists and occupational therapists are essential for this role.
