Job Requirements of Humanities Teacher

  • A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B. Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in a humanities subject.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience teaching a Middle Years Program Individuals & Societies course will be highly favorable, though experience teaching a humanities subject in an Upper High School / Secondary school will be considered.
  • The experience, personality and educational philosophy to continue to drive the education agenda at this flagship GEMS World school catering for students from over 100 countries.
  • Experience in supporting or leading the Duke of Edinburgh Award at bronze, silver or gold level will also be highly favorable, though not mandatory.
