Geophysicist Job in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Liaise with laboratory regarding sample collection and analysis Execute independently geophysical survey interpretation

Ensure accuracy and objectivity and report to the Survey Manager on the survey results
Process and interpret Marine Geophysics data acquisition and of geophysical survey logs
Conduct all type of marine geophysical surveys
Participate in the calibration of geophysical survey equipment in coordination with survey technician
Work according to defined policies and procedures for effective, efficient and professional functioning of the geophysics survey team
Prepare and review technical survey reports, drawings, and deliverables in line with client and project requirements
Coordinate with vessel crew and project teams to ensure safe and efficient survey operations
Identify data quality issues during acquisition and recommend corrective measures
Support risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox talks related to marine geophysical survey activities
Comply according to the QA/ HSE requirements and procedures onsite

Responsibilities

High level knowledge of the following software’s such as PDS2000, CODA seismic and DELPH seismic software, AutoCAD, Terramodel, Survey Software and Excel (formulas) with strong presentation skills
Offshore Safety Courses like BOISIET or STCW will be an asset
Marine Environmental knowledge is an asset
Sub bottom profiler data acquisition, processing and interpretation
