Job Description
BFL Group is currently looking to hire a candidate for the job role of a General Accountant in TechnoPark, Dubai, UAE. This is a Senior level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 8000-17000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.
Responsibilities of General Accountant
- Processing and monitoring all client security investments with attention to management and report regulation compliance.
- Calculating tax obligations and preparing necessary tax documents and reports.
- Organizing and ensuring the accuracy of all financial and accounting reports and records.
- Managing debt investments and reconciling books.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Manage and analyze financial investments and portfolios.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and report on investment performance.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations.
- Develop and implement investment accounting policies and procedures.
- Preferred work experience as an General Accountant.
- Hands on handling Payable & Receivable.
Requirements for Role of General Accountant
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
- 5+ years of Experience in General Accounting (Candidate form Financial Services, Assets Management or Investment Banking background will be a plus).
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Excellent knowledge in IFRS.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
