Frontend Developer GIS and Mapping SAAB Abu Dhabi

SAAB is currently looking to hire a candidate for the job role of Frontend Developer in GIS and Mapping at 2901 Addax office Tower, City of Lights, Abu Dhabi, UAE to join their Product development team. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 7000-15000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities of Frontend Developer

• Develop an interesting and innovative geospatial web application for an AI-based data fusion engine.
• Work together with co-workers in their offices in Abu Dhabi consisting of Backend developers, AI/ML and DevOps engineers.

Requirements for Role of Frontend Developer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
• 2+ years of development with JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Node.js for geospatial applications.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Frameworks and libraries such as CesiumJS, Three.js, Leaflet, OpenStreetMap, KML, Mapbox, PostGIS, WebGL, Google Maps API, React, Vue.js, Angular.
• Strong spoken English and written communication skills.
• A good eye for detail.
• Tenacity in solving problems.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with the Linux operating system and shell, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Git version control.
