Environment Specialist Unilever Dubai

Unilever is currently seeking qualified and competent candidates for the job role of a Environment Specialist in Dubai, UAE. This job vacancy is open for UAE Nationals only. The specialist will be accountable for delivering the Unilever Manufacturing System compliance on Environment & Manage the site waste management system.

Responsibilities of Environment Specialist

• Lead in implementing the Unilever Manufacturing System compliance requirements on the shop floor level.
• Lead in implementing the ISO14001:2015 requirements.
• Lead in chemical management including, risk assessment, aspect impact, acquisition, inventory and tracking, transportation, storage, control of chemical hazards, pollution prevention and waste minimization, emergency management, disposal, training.
• Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support for environmental remediation projects and for legal actions.
• Prepare and maintain environmental Aspect Impact.
• Inspect facilities and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Organize measurements and analyse scientific data on environmental parameters.
• Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation reports.
• Monitor the progress of environmental improvement programs.
• Provide/conduct training on environmental topics.
• Lead and manage site Waste Management System.
• Contribute to Sustainability programs and reporting through materiality assessment, benchmarking, gap analysis, KPI identification and stakeholder.

Eligibility Criteria

• University degree in Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of industrial experience.

Knowledge and Skills Desired

• Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Process Safety is a plus.
• Influencing and decision-making skills.
• Good observation and auditing skills.
• Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience is a plus.
• Proven track record analytical thinking and project management is a plus.
