About the Role

As an English Teacher at Seer Bani Yas Charter School, you will deliver inspiring English lessons to middle school students following the American-based curriculum. Furthermore, you will plan engaging sessions that cater for the full ability range while embedding the Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum. Moreover, you will use assessment data through Target Tracker to track student progress and inform planning and intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve outstanding outcomes
• Plan, prepare, and present sessions catering for the needs of the whole ability range
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources to create a positive environment
• Observe and assess students in line with school assessment frameworks
• Use assessment data to influence further planning, provision, and intervention
• Manage classes effectively and maintain high expectations of behaviour
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress at conferences and meetings
• Run weekly extra-curricular activities and contribute to school events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
• A high level of professionalism and consideration for the wellbeing of children
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
• A clean enhanced DBS check or police check
