Responsibilities of Electrical Design Engineer

• Develop comprehensive electrical design plans for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications using advanced design software.
• Perform load calculations and size electrical equipment accordingly.
• Design power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems with overall building design.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor installation progress.
• Optimize designs for energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support during construction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.

Requirements for Role of Electrical Design Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical design for building projects.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or residential projects.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC and IEC.
