This role places Emirati physicians at the heart of a hospital founded in 1960 by Doctors Pat and Mariam Kennedy at the request of HH Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan – the first hospital in the Abu Dhabi Emirate. You will provide loving, high-quality healthcare across your chosen specialty, working 48 hours per week on day and evening shifts alongside an international team. The position operates within a not-for-profit, JCI-accredited institution known globally for its pioneering Clinical Care Program Certifications in newborn respiratory distress syndrome and natural birth after cesarean section.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients within your specialty area, whether obstetrics, paediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, or another department of your preference.
• Participate in a 48-hour weekly shift schedule that includes both day and evening rotations alongside Emirati and international physician colleagues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care aligned with Kanad Hospital’s JCI-accredited standards.
• Document patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and follow-up care in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
• Uphold the hospital’s mission of providing loving healthcare that honors God and transforms communities, as modeled by the founding Kennedy physicians.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff or trainees as appropriate to your level of experience and specialization.

Requirements & Qualifications

• UAE national (Emirati) with valid family book.
• Medical doctor degree (MBBS or equivalent) as minimum; specialization or postgraduate training strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related clinical experience post-qualification.
• Ability to work 48 hours per week on day and evening shifts as currently scheduled for Emirati physicians.
• Valid DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Arabic language proficiency required for patient communication.
