Director of Inclusion Dubai – United Arab Emirates Full-time

This role leads a whole‑school vision for inclusive excellence at a cutting‑edge GEMS school that integrates AI, robotics, and personalised learning. You will ensure high‑quality provision for multilingual learners and students with diverse needs, therefore fostering a culture of equity, belonging, and academic success. Working closely with senior leaders and staff, you will drive personalised learning, oversee IEP and ELL provision, and build a high‑performing Inclusion team. Consequently, your strategic leadership will directly improve outcomes for every learner in a forward‑thinking, research‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement a whole‑school vision for inclusive education, therefore ensuring high‑quality provision for students with special educational needs (SEN) and English language learners (ELL).
• Oversee the development, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ELL support programmes, ensuring they are ambitious, evidence‑based, and person‑centred.
• Build and lead a strong, high‑performing Inclusion team, providing coaching, professional development, and performance management.
• Champion student wellbeing and equity, strengthening partnerships with parents to support student progress and inclusion.
• Use data and research to drive continuous improvement, monitor compliance with UAE and international standards (e.g., KHDA, SEN Code of Practice), and measure the impact of inclusion strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to embed inclusive practices across the curriculum, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Manage the Inclusion budget, resources, and external specialist support services effectively.
• Contribute to the school’s innovation agenda, integrating emerging technologies (AI, robotics, VR/AR) to support personalised learning and inclusion.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Recognised Inclusion qualification (e.g., National Award for SEN Coordination, PGCE SEN, or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in Inclusive Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in Inclusion within an international or through‑school setting (all‑through primary to secondary).
• Strong track record of improving outcomes for diverse learners, including students with SEN, EAL, and gifted learners.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Deep commitment to equity, access, and inclusive excellence, with a reflective, strategic, and solution‑focused approach.
• Experience with UAE inclusion regulations (KHDA, ADEK) and international best practices (e.g., British SEN Code of Practice).
• Clean UK‑enhanced DBS or equivalent police check, as per GEMS Education’s safeguarding policy.
