Clinical Psychologist Novomed Abu Dhabi

Novomed is actively looking for a dedicated and qualified Clinical Psychologist to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This role will provide specialist evidence based psychological assessment, formulation, and therapy, and make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice. He / she will provide consultation and advice on psychological therapies to clients, their families and non- psychology colleagues.

Responsibilities of Clinical Psychologist

• To work with patients across the lifespan (adults and children, unless otherwise agreed).
• Work dedicatedly to provide high quality evidence-based therapies to individual and groups of patients.
• Manage a caseload of patients with responsibility for confidentiality, assessment (including risk), Formulation and therapy.
• Offer routine assessments and complex assessments to patients (risk assessment, psychometric, and neuropsychological) and provide reports when necessary.
• Proactively contribute to the achievement of good clinical outcomes for patients and evaluate the efficacy of the therapies provided using standardized outcome measures.
• To manage patient risk effectively .
• Communicate with patients and their families (as clinically needed) in a way that is open, sensitive, empathic, and caring.
• Work with multidisciplinary team colleagues to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Make appropriate referrals when necessary and be responsible for following these up.

Qualifications & Experience

Following are the requirements for the role of Clinical Psychologist at Novomed:

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology with practicum and internship/residency experience.
• At least 2 years postmaster experience.
• Active Clinical Psychologist DOH License or a DOH Eligibility Letter is an advantage.
• Specializes in children and adult.
• For outside applicants: Experience certificates must be stamped and signed by an employer of a facility that is registered under a trade license.
