Additionally, this support role offers the chance to work alongside teachers at the newest flagship Aldar Education school on Yas Island.

About the Role

As a Classroom Assistant at Noya British School, you will provide support for individual pupils and groups both inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in school activities. Furthermore, you will assist in implementing individual education programmes, help monitor student progress, and support pupils with additional needs including emotional, behavioural, and social development. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with class teachers to maintain pupil records, prepare displays, and support a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic and pastoral support for individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor student progress
• Support pupils with additional needs and help develop their social skills
• Give group instruction as prescribed by the teacher and provide individual support
• Monitor and check pupil work in progress, praising and reinforcing achievements
• Supervise pupils in classrooms and other locations throughout the school
• Assist teachers with maintaining records, preparing displays, and photocopying
• Work with other professionals such as speech therapists and occupational therapists

Requirements

• Minimum secondary school certificate
• At least 2 years experience in a school environment
• English language skills or proficiency in the language of instruction
• Ability to support the social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of pupils
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• UAE National candidates are preferred for this position
