Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, drawings and specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Construction of roads, bridges, and other associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping).
- Drainage work, utilities, traffic control, lighting.
- Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering and street lighting.
- Irrigation and planting, roadway and overhead sign removal and installation.
- Installation of temporary and permanent signs and delineation.
- Building and facility construction and associated site development.
- Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.
- Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract.
- Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
- Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution.
- Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
- Conducts civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, and concrete coring.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including road works, utilities within UAE.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specifications and processes related to civil inspection.
- Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
