We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant for a leading hospitality organization in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with hotel accounting standards, and delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
This role requires strong expertise in hospitality finance, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a finance team while maintaining the integrity of financial data and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
- 7–12 years of experience in accounting, preferably in hospitality
- Strong knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)
- Experience with Sun System or similar accounting software
- Excellent analytical and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee Sun System database and financial data management
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Supervise payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement
- Review invoices, expense reports, payment vouchers, and cashier reports for accuracy and compliance
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations
- Review and reconcile General Ledger, bank accounts, and P&L statements
- Prepare accurate financial and management reports within deadlines
- Manage month-end and year-end closing of books in line with USALI standards
