We are seeking an experienced Business Development Engineer to support growth within the Metals & Mining sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and providing technical solutions tailored to customer requirements.
The role requires a strong technical background combined with proven business development experience in industrial automation and engineering solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Engineering Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field
Experience:
- 5–10 years of business development experience within the Metals & Mining industry
- Experience in industrial automation and technical solution sales preferred
Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of Instrumentation, Fluid Control, Pneumatics, and PLC SCADA systems
- Instrumentation or Mechatronics qualification with Trade Test is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and professional standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution and customer satisfaction
- Prepare technical presentations, proposals, and business reports
- Promote automation, instrumentation, fluid control, and PLC SCADA solutions
- Identify customer requirements and provide tailored technical solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Develop and expand business opportunities within the Metals & Mining industry
