Job Description
Business Communications Group Senior Manager at Dubai Ports (DP) World will be responsible for Business Communications, DP World, will manage all communications & marketing activities for DP World’s Global Ports and Terminals Pillar. The Senior Manager will sit on the Pillar leadership team and provide senior communications counsel, as well as developing and managing the execution of a strategic and tactical communications plan that will integrate DP World’s key messages, vision, mission, values and brand promise as it relates to the pillar’s business strategy, audiences and commercial objectives.Â
Responsibilites of Business Communications Group Manager
- Overseeing the delivery of a pillar communications strategy.
- Managing multidisciplinary agencies to maximise audience impact of communications.
- Reporting on success and measuring agreed KPIs.
- Identifying and developing content, working closely with business leaders and SMEs within the pillar.
- Working closely with HO and regional communications teams to ensure alignment of all activity and optimal channel use.
- Provide strategic advice and tactical communications leadership to the business pillar.
- Manage external agency teams.
- Oversee the continuous development of the key messages relating to the strategy.
- Develop deep sector knowledge and audience insight.
- Drive the creation of high-quality, accurate, content.
- Work cross-functionally with Media Relations, Corporate Responsibility, and other key functions to lead the development of messaging for all key stakeholders.
- Management of sustainability comms lead.
- Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working.
- Promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture, ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activitie, understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Business Communications Group Senior Manager are as under:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 6 -8 years communications and / or marketing experience.
- Solid experience in developing and leading strategic integrated communication programmes, meeting expectations and deadlines within budgetary guidelines.
Skills Desired
- A confident communicator and presenter.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Superior project management and time management skills.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- Additional languages a plus.
- Self-starter who thrives under pressure, can prioritise multiple projects, take the initiative and is driven to achieve results in a dynamic environment.
