Job Description
Biomedical Engineer at NMC Healthcare will be responsible for installing, testing, calibrating and repairing biomedical equipment. Responsible to conduct tests to approve new equipment, ensuring adherence to codes and making modifications. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 7000-15000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Biomedical Engineer
- Installation and Management of Biomedical equipment and Breakdown Maintenance (Repair) on priority.
- Management and performance of Planned Preventive Maintenance of Biomedical equipment in every six months.
- Responsible for Asset Audit, inspection, inventory procedures and machine marking on yearly basis and submit report to accounts department.
- Analysis of equipment characteristics in clinical environment and submit the report to centre procurement department.
- Maintain documents, data logs, reports, databases, forms, records concerning inspections, data of repairs and equipment’s condition and operation.
- Calibrate and Analyse the bio medical equipment to finds the failures, faults or malfunctions in yearly basis.
- Record and update AMC, CMC documents and Review and track service contract proposals and renewals.
- Work as a team with all departments especially Finance, Facility, nursing and Quality to enlarge the range of biomedical services and perform efficiently.
- Strictly adheres to follow the organization’s regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, EHSMS, MOH, JCI and ISO when necessary.
- Support Quality Improvement programs and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities.
- Support, participate, contribute Quality Improvement programs to assure quality standards.
- Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with management as necessary.
- Follow Waste management procedures and policies.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
What you will do more
- Collect and analyse the quotation and service reports and submit to Accounts Department.
- Maintain and update the daily work report and submit to GM, FM, HR & QM.
- Manage and monitor Bio medical service desk and maintain complaint register.
- Ensure the complaints were handled within the stipulated time based on priority.
- Ensure effective communication and dealings with staffs, departments, venders, Associates and Management.
- Give reports to IT Department on Update and Maintain of Clilinc Software if necessary.
- Planning and procurement of spare parts required for Biomedical Maintenance/PPM.
- Schedule, Plan and Conduct training program for end users.
Requirements for Role of Biomedical Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical or related.
- 2 years experience with the integration of biomedical devices in clinical workflows.
