Barista at Voco® Dubai The Palm InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is responsible to create and serve exceptional coffee and beverages, ensuring a memorable experience for guests. The vacancy was announced by the hotel on March 1, 2024.

Responsibilities of Barista

• Maintain a complete knowledge of coffee, beverages to advise guests and colleagues when necessary.
• Take orders from guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and speciality beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Cleaning of service and seating areas.
• Describe menu items and provide thoughtful recommendations to guests.
• Service customers and take orders.
• Order, receive and distribute stock supplies.
• Receive and process guests’ payments.
• Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.

Requirements of Barista

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years related experience in same capacity.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Excellent communications skills, English is a must.
• A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence to consistently deliver and demonstrate voco™ service standards.
• A true “team player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.
• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
