Responsibilities

• Cutting, trimming & preparing various cuts of meat according to customer preferences & specifications.
• Ensuring accuracy in portion control and adherence to quality standards.
• Displaying meat products in an appealing and organized manner to attract customers, while monitoring and rotating stock to maintain freshness.
• Quality control is paramount, as inspect meat products for quality, freshness & proper labeling & dispose of expired or spoiled products following established procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service is essential, as they assist customers in selecting meat products.
• Provide information on cuts, cooking methods and recommendations and fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the butchery area is crucial for sanitation and safety purposes.
• Must follow safety protocols and guidelines for the proper handling of knives and equipment.
• Responsible for monitoring and managing meat inventory levels, reporting shortages or excess inventory to the relevant personnel to ensure efficient inventory management.
• People Management: Collaboration with other kitchen staff and management to coordinate product offerings and promotions.
• Functional and Technical Competencies: Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements for Role of Baker Associate

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience in a meat department, butcher shop, or food service environment.
