Transguard Group presently has a job opening for qualified and experienced candidate for the position of a Baggage & Logistics Manager. The selected candidate will manage the delivery of the projects from brief/ business case through to entry into service or handover, which requires strong internal project management and leadership, with expertise in stakeholder engagement, problem solving (technical, operational, stakeholder) and development & implementation of a project delivery plan inclusive of a stakeholder engagement plan.
Duties of A Baggage & Logistics Manager
- Propose and set up project delivery governance.
- Lead the stakeholder engagement to define & document the core requirements of the project.
- Coordinate the Pre-Concept Design activities with the Design, Research &/or SME departments within Dubai Airports.
- Agree project scope, purpose, estimated costs/ timelines with Business Owner, Programme Lead & Investment Planning.
- Coordinate and support Brief / Business Case development with the Business Owner, SMEs and Investment Planning.
- Coordinate and drive forward the appropriate project approvals and documentation.
- Single point of contact for general delivery & stakeholder management
- Responsible for the execution of the project in alignment with the Project Management Governance.
- Can be responsible for the management and oversight of a small programme of projects.
- Responsible for the development & sign-off of the Project Management Plan (PMP) with the Business Owner & Programme Lead.
- Manage project delivery at all stages, inclusive of any changes/ variations.
- Coordinate the Concept & Detailed Design activities with the Design, Research & SME departments within Dubai Airports & with external suppliers where such support is required.
- Coordinate the Procurement activities with Supply Management.
- Coordinate the physical works on site including areas out of and back into the operation with all stakeholders.
- Provide appropriate reporting (e.g. cost, schedule, risks) to ensure transparent communication.
Requirements for role of Baggage & Logistics Manager
The eligibility requirements for role of a Baggage and Logistics Manager (Cargo) are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- 3-5 years of previous proven experience.
Skills Desired
- Building Services (CIBSE) or similar.
- Internal project leadership and stakeholder management for wider business unit engagement and cooperation.
- Ability to resolve complex problems, from a technical, operational and stakeholder viewpoints.
- Project Delivery Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
- Project Scheduling, Risk & Issues Management, Budget Management, Procurement Strategy & Contract Administration, Stakeholder Management, etc.
- Operational Readiness Activation & Transition experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
