Authorisations & Standards Supervisor at Etihad Airways in Ahmed Jumaa Al Za-aabee Building, Al Sharqi Street, opposite Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre, Al Danah, Zone 1, Abu Dhabi, UAE will expert in the field of special cargo and specialized cargo products, ensuring a robust and compliant end to end process for all Etihad Cargo products and services. Support respective Etihad Cargo product managers and other relevant stakeholders, developing and enhancing Etihad Cargo’s products and establish operational readiness and compliance. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Authorisations & Standards Supervisor
- Ensure day to day operation of special cargo and specialized cargo products is compliant with to national and international rules. And regulations, stipulated by Etihad, national Civil Aviation, IATA or ICAO.
- Responsible for a robust compliance check system, maintaining the quality and integrity of special cargo. And specialized cargo product shipments via “OK 2 Forward”, verification on shipment level, assessing documentation, bookings, packing requirements. Container requirements etc. as required
- Ownership of investigations, analysis of service failures and irregularities for special cargo and specialized cargo products. Following a standardized methodology and maintain auditable records, available at any time. Enable timely and qualified communication to customers.
- Support the respective Etihad Cargo product manager to further enhance and develop Etihad Cargo’s product portfolio. Champion the operational readiness for new developments and product enhancements and support the achievement and maintaining product specific certifications, e.g. CEIV.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to Etihad Cargo, Etihad quality assurance. IATA and 3rd party suppliers such as GHAs, identifying critical touch points and areas for improvement to constantly improve and enhance Etihad Cargo’s special cargo. And specialized cargo product proposition.
- Responsible for all special cargo and specialized cargo product documentation, such as but not limited to the Cargo Services Manual (CSM). Product SOPs, quality control checklists and station capability
- Information of all network stations, ensuring all documentation is well maintained, accessible by the relevant audience and up-date at any time.
- Ownership of operational performance measurement for special cargo and specialized cargo products. To be achieved by providing performance reports on but not limited to overall performance, service failures, trend analysis. Compliance issues and root causes to a defined audience across Etihad Cargo.
Requirements for Role of Authorisations & Standards Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in internal and external auditing with the ability to close findings until implementation.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Subject matter expert in specialized cargo commodities and products e.g. pharma, live animals’ perishables.
- Subject matter expert in updating and writing new processes and procedures, SOPs, internal manuals, external compliance manuals, etc.
- Understand the functions of regulatory bodies e.g. Civil Aviation, IATA, ICAO.
- Excellent knowledge of CAPA investigations & Root Cause Analysis methodology principles such as 5 Whys.
- Excellent knowledge and ownership of investigating trend analysis, irregularities and service failures to identify gaps in current processes and procedures.
- Excellent ability to recommend and implement changes to processes and manuals.
- Good understanding of Microsoft applications.
- Excellent English is written, speaking, and communication skills to deal with key stakeholders in senior management.
- Ability to support in achieving and maintaining product-specific certifications, e.g. CEIV.
- Ability to maintain trackers and documentation for audit records.
