Associate/Full Professor Artificial Intelligence American University of Ras Al Khaimah

American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, invites applications for a full time Associate/Full Professor Artificial Intelligence position beginning Fall 2024 (mid August). Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence or a related computing major. The successful candidate should have the credentials to teach the following undergraduate courses: Advanced Programming, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Big Data, and Data Analytics.

Duties of Associate/Full Professor Artificial Intelligence

• Teaching undergraduate courses.
• Establishing and/or continuing development of a nationally or internationally recognized research program.
• Obtaining sponsored funding in support of research program.
• Leading a research center.
• Participating in department, school, and university committees.
• Advising and mentoring students.
• Participating in outreach activities, such as continuing education workshops.

Job Requirements of Associate/Full Professor Artificial Intelligence

• Doctoral degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related computing major from an accredited institution of higher education.
• University teaching experience, with a commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high impact educational practices.
• Interest and experience in working effectively with a diverse student population.
• Experience with ABET accreditation requirements.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Effective oral and written English communication skills.
• Excellence in scholarship.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
