Assistant Sales Manager Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Full-time

This role assists in implementing sales strategies and action plans to meet or exceed targets for heavy equipment across the Emirates. You will monitor team performance, prepare sales forecasts, and compile activity reports while supporting the sales team in negotiations, presentations, and technical equipment discussions. Consequently, your ability to analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings directly improves product positioning and sales effectiveness. The position requires extensive knowledge of Oracle ERP software and close coordination with logistics, service, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing sales strategies and action plans to meet or exceed sales targets for heavy equipment across all Emirates.
• Monitor team performance, prepare sales forecasts, and compile sales activity reports for management review.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects, therefore ensuring long‑term account retention.
• Support the sales team in negotiations, presentations, and technical equipment discussions. Provide guidance on product specifications and applications.
• Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to upskill the team and align with business objectives.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing quotations, tender documents, and equipment proposals. Therefore, ensure timely and accurate submission of bids and contract documents.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings. Recommend improvements to sales strategies and product positioning.
• Coordinate with logistics, service, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment and parts. Monitor stock levels and backorders relevant to sales operations.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure prompt resolution. Follow up on delivered equipment to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in sales within the heavy equipment, construction, or industrial sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven sales experience with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets. Managerial experience is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle ERP software for order processing, inventory tracking, and sales reporting.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills. Attentive listening and organisational awareness are critical.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Professional work ethic with ability to influence, challenge, and build relationships at all levels.
• Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai locations.
