Job Description

GEMS Wellington International School Dubai is seeking an exceptional ASD Specialist who is willing to uphold their values of integrity, empathy and fortitude, to join their established team for an immediate start. To play a key role in ensuring that GEMS Wellington International School offers, maintains and develops and inclusive approach and experience for all students.

Job Requirements of ASD Specialist

  • Bachelors degree in Education.
  • Minimum 2 year experience in similar role.
  • Experience working with students with SEND.
  • Experience of delivering training.
  • Experience working with parents to support student welfare.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Develop and support inclusive practice.
  • Support the staff in understanding the needs of the students of determination.
  • Embody and role model their core values of integrity, empathy and fortitude in everything they do.
  • A good honors degree.
  • DfES recognized Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desired.
  • ABA, CBT or other recognized behavior adaptation training.
  • A postgraduate qualification in an appropriate area related to Inclusion is desired.
  • Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice.
  • Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused.
  • Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents.
  • Have aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.
  • Be willing to make a positive contribution to their school community and culture through active engagement in their extra curricular programmed and community based events.
