Aftermarket Sourcing Specialist | Al-Futtaim Automotive | FAMCO Full-time

This role procures critical engineering products for the Oil & Gas industry – including pumps, seals, valves, compressors, motors, sensors, and customised items – while building strong global supplier relationships aligned with Al‑Futtaim policies. You will register suppliers, manage sourcing requirements internationally, and collaborate with the inventory team for order placement and payment organisation. Consequently, your techno‑commercial expertise directly contributes to revenue growth, customer retention, and efficient distribution strategy across the division, while leading a team of 5 after‑sales engineers and 12 technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Source various engineering products required for O&G industries, including pumps, seals, valves, tools, customised items, motors, electrical components, sensors, gas compressors, dryers, and more.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, therefore ensuring full alignment with Al‑Futtaim’s policies and compliance standards.
• Register suppliers with Al‑Futtaim and manage sourcing requirements on a global scale, ensuring cost‑effective and timely procurement.
• Collaborate with the inventory team for order placement and ensure timely payment organisation to maintain supplier trust and continuity.
• Contribute to achieving revenue, parts sales, and customer engagement. Consequently, manage an effective parts sales process, increase customer retention, and execute an efficient distribution strategy.
• Target lost customers and new sales opportunities. Initiate action plans to secure new business for the division.
• Manage customer requirements for on‑time delivery, considering lead times, product specification changes, and fluctuating customer demand.
• Manage every element of the sales process individually. Furthermore, handle a team of 5 After Sales Engineers & Service Managers, engaging 12 technicians to ensure optimal utilisation and outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing for the Oil & Gas industry, with strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and products used in O&G companies.
• Proficient in SAP and experienced in handling techno‑commercial contracts and long‑term agreements (LTAs) with O&G customers.
• Good knowledge of compressed air system equipment, pumps, gas compressors, seals, valves, and sensors used in O&G industries.
• Experience in the UAE or Middle East region is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Strong team management skills with ability to lead engineers and technicians for efficient process management.
• Sound business acumen and ability to remain updated on regulations, standards, and market trends within Oil & Gas.
