Accounts Manager – Westford Dubai, UAE Full-time

Westford University college is hiring a Accounts Manager – Westford Dubai, UAE in Dubai, UAE. This is a full-time position.

Westford needs an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee all accounting functions. This full time role involves managing the full cycle of financial record keeping. You will ensure the accuracy of accounts and prepare timely financial statements. In addition, you will manage payables, receivables, and monthly reporting. You will also contribute to financial strategy and maintain compliance with statutory requirements. If you hold a bachelor and master degree in Accounting or Finance with five to eight years of experience, this role suits you. Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities for Accounts Manager

• Oversee and manage all financial transactions and records

• Ensure accurate and complete bookkeeping at all times

• Maintain the general ledger with correct categorization

• Record all transactions in a timely manner

• Manage month end and year end close processes

• Handle the full cycle of accounts receivable

• Ensure timely invoicing and collections

• Oversee accounts payable with timely and accurate payments

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies between payments, receipts, and balances

• Prepare and present monthly financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports

• Develop and manage monthly MIS reports and dashboards

• Provide clear visibility on key financial metrics and performance

• Monitor budgets versus actuals regularly

• Provide insights to the management team

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations

• Prepare VAT returns for Westford

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes

• Ensure compliance and risk mitigation

• Work closely with the Senior Group Finance Manager

• Align financial strategies with Westford’s business goals

• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff

• Ensure adherence to processes and develop a collaborative team environment

• Directly report to the Senior Group Finance Manager

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor and master degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Five to eight years of experience in accounting roles

• Focus on full scale accounting including payables, receivables, and financial record keeping

• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems

• Experience in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports

• Positive, proactive, and solution driven attitude

• Self starter who takes ownership of tasks

• Ability to think critically and analytically

• Strong leadership skills to foster collaboration and growth

• Meticulous attention to detail
