Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Manage and lead monthly and annual financial closings and reporting processes
- Handle financial audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors for timely completion
- Monitor and reconcile project-specific financial transactions and cost allocations
- Ensure accuracy in intercompany and international transactions
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax) and prepare accurate tax filings
- Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management and project stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance support staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification (preferred)
- 6–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
- Audit or consulting background with Top tier accounting audit firms is highly preferred
- Previous experience in the construction or contracting industry is a strong advantage
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), financial regulations, and tax compliance
- Proficiency with accounting systems and ERPs (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
