Job Description

The Accountant at BFL Group will be liable to regulate and authenticate financial/accounting transactions. Candidate should maintain a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks. As well as, to balance accounts and verify bank statements when needed.

Responsibilities of Accountant

  • Receive, check & post of Local and Import purchase Invoices.
  • Complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  • Post monthly closing entries related to provisions.
  • Capitalization of Fixed Assets and maintenance of depreciation schedule.
  • Check and converting post-dated payments and receipt vouchers.
  • Check payment vouchers before authorized signatures.
  • Check daily sale reports received from the respective showrooms
  • Monitor banking facilities / transactions and reconciliation, imports/exports related documents, cost management, cash flow operations and statements.
  • Maintain & supervise the work related to the company’s financial accounting & record keeping, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and sales internal control.
  • Implement the financial policies, systems, procedures and controls for the international business
  • Provide monthly MIS (P & L and B/S) to management with analyses
  • Prepare periodic statutory reports and returns accurately and on time to meet international business needs.
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with external agencies such as Banks, financial institutions and auditors.
  • Periodically compute VAT Liability and file returns.
  • Maintenance of Trial Balance and proper chart of accounts for accurate financial reporting.
  • Check the calculation, posting and disbursement of monthly salaries, leave salaries, service end benefits, commission and any other employee benefits.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Current accounts between international business and HO.
  • Liaison with the accounts team and external auditors for annual audit purposes.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related to duties as assigned.

Requirements for Role of Accountant

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in accounts/ finance or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in accounts in Retail Industry.
  • Demonstrated work experience and task management proficiency with the ability to prioritize and execute accordingly.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, control and reporting principles, methods, techniques and standards.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret accounts data and prepare account reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Strong knowledge of local government financial/accounting regulations, banking, accounting standards and requirements and Company financial policies and procedures.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
