I am Karthik, and I completed my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at Madurai Kamaraj University, India. My research primarily focused on rpoB mutations that suppress the overproduction of colanic acid capsular polysaccharides in E. coli with defective Lon protease.

    aeruginosa
     Using bioinformatics and NGS, I examined the role of horizontal gene transfer in the spread of AMR genes,
    particularly the influence of plasmid-borne and chromosomal β-lactamases on resistance acquisition, vital for
    strategizing resistance mitigation.
