Duties of A Fire Fighting BIM Modeler
- Create, develop, and manage detailed BIM models for firefighting systems using Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.
- Ensure models are compliant with project standards, specifications, and local fire safety regulations.
- Perform regular updates and revisions to the BIM models as project requirements evolve.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate firefighting systems within the overall project model.
- Collaborate with MEP coordinators and BIM managers to resolve any clashes or discrepancies in the models.
- Participate in coordination meetings to discuss and resolve issues related to firefighting BIM models.
- Conduct quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Use clash detection tools to identify and resolve conflicts within the firefighting systems and between other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports related to firefighting BIM models.
- Generate accurate and detailed drawings and schedules from the BIM models for use in project documentation and construction.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Fire Fighting BIM Modeler are as under:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in firefighting BIM modeling in the GCC region.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution in a BIM environment.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of firefighting systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
