Landscape BIM Modeler at Duncan & Ross will be responsible to utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to create detailed and accurate 3D models of landscape designs. This role plays a crucial role in integrating landscape elements into overall building and site designs, ensuring that the landscape design aligns with architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. The primary objectives include enhancing collaboration among project stakeholders, improving design accuracy, facilitating clash detection and resolution, optimizing construction planning and coordination, and ultimately, contributing to the successful realization of landscape projects from concept through to construction. Responsibilities of A Landscape BIM Modeler
- Utilize BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to develop detailed 3D models of landscape designs.
- Collaborate with landscape architects, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape elements into overall building and site designs.
- Ensure BIM models accurately represent design intent and adhere to project specifications and standards.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve conflicts between landscape elements and other building systems.
- Resolve design clashes and inconsistencies using Navisworks for clash detection.
- Generate documentation and drawings from BIM models for construction and project coordination.
- Assist in project coordination meetings and provide BIM support to project teams as needed.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Landscape BIM Modeler are as under:
- Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Landscape BIM Modeler in a design consulting firm.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting project deadlines.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, AutoCAD, and Naviswork.
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles, construction techniques, and materials.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
