Operations Technical Library Officer Royaljet Abu Dhabi

Senior Operations Technical Library Officer at Royaljet in Next to Presidential Flight, Al Diyafah St, Al Matar, Abu Dhabi, UAE maintain and control documentation, revisions to aircraft manufacturers’ manuals and EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) applications in Operations Technical Library, Crew Briefing Room and onboard all fleet as required. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-25000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Operations Technical Library Officer

• Maintain and control a centralized library system which will comprise all RoyalJet master documents and manuals, distribute in accordance with the approved database list.
• Maintain and Control Technical Records functions in Flight Operations and ensure that all legal records pertaining to aircraft operational data, Airplane Flight Manuals, Flight Crew Operations Manuals, Information / Technical Bulletins and QRH are maintained (onboard fleet and EFBs).
• Update Aircraft Operations Manuals in Operations Technical Library, Crew Briefing Room Library, and all fleet Onboard Library and EFB.
• Update the Flight Operations Database System with information related to Operations data revision status to ensure the availability of up-to-date information regarding distribution, records, list of documents on board aircraft, acknowledgements receipts are controlled.
• Perform archiving of technical Operations records, Documents Monthly Checks, and other Technical Operations Records. Maintain proper filing system to ensure easy identification of records and documents.
• Coordinate all manual amendments that are received directly from aircraft manufacturer to the Technical Pilot/Fleet Manager and ensure copies of all such amendments are printed/uploaded in the EFBs and issued to all concerned.
• Act as EFB Administrator to ensure EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) applications and electronic documents are operational and updated. Coordinate with vendors or concerned departments on the discrepancies regarding EFB device and software/s.

• Ensure that the spare iPads are maintained and updated prior to each flight.
• Responsible for the procedure and systems, documented in the SOP that maintain EFB security and integrity. This includes system security, content security, access security and protection from harmful software.
• Ensure all devices are configure according to the applicable requirements and the output complies with the regulations.
• Ensure all devices has no unauthorized applications installed in the ROJ EFB system.
• Ensure that a risk assessment has carry out on each application.
• Ensure to take all reasonable measures to identify all security risk and take appropriate action to prevent such risk.
• Conduct training and briefing for the flight crew regarding the EFB system and its use.

Requirements for Role of Operations Technical Library Officer

• University Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent Engineering or graduate with Post Graduate degree equivalent with specialized training in Flight Operations Engineering Preferred with EFB experience.
• Diploma in publications on aviation certificate courses/training in aviation documentation publication software and/or Document Control System.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role or aviation related field.
• Experience in an airline flight operations publication.
• Experience in web-based publications, HTML and XML.
• Experience in Graphics, Visio, MS Publisher, Adobe and Frame Maker.
• Experience in document authoring.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of ATA system and Operations documentations such as AFM, Pilots checklist, FCOM QRH, EFB etc.
• Understanding of Aeronautical publications.
• Must be organize, proactive and able to work under pressure.
