Supply Chain & Logistics Officer Consumer Goods – 24 May 2024

The Consumer Goods industry in Dubai is currently seeking candidate for the position of Supply Chain and Logistics Officer to join them. This is a mid career, full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 5001 AED to 7000 AED which may be slightly negotiable during the interview.

Responsibilities of Supply Chain & Logistics Officer

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and logistics providers to secure favorable rates and conditions.
• Oversee the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and transactions.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze supply chain data and generate reports for management to inform decision-making.
• Implement and maintain safety and quality standards throughout the supply chain.

Requirements for the role of Supply Chain & Logistics Officer

The requirements for the said job are as following.

• High School Diploma is plus.
• Proven experience of 2-5 years as a Supply Chain & Logistics Officer or in a similar role.

• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
