Logistics Officer Shipping Industry Dubai – 21 May 2024

Dubai’s Shipping Industry is actively seeking individuals for the role of Logistics officer. This is a mid career, full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 4001 AED to 5000 AED which may be slightly negotiable during the interview.

Responsibilities of Logistics Officer

• Coordinate and oversee all logistics operations, including the transportation and delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure the timely replenishment of stock.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation companies to arrange shipments and negotiate terms.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Conduct regular audits of logistics processes and implement improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs requirements.
• Analyze logistics data and provide reports to management on key performance metrics.

Requirements for the role of Logistics Officer

• High school Diploma is plus.
• Proven experience of 1-2 years as a Logistics Officer or in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
