Job Purpose of An Outlet General Manager

Oversee the overall operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction of a specific outlet or location within a business.

Duties of An Outlet General Manager

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the outlet providing guidance, encouraging teamwork, and facilitating related professional work processes.
  • Achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations.
  • Develops the annual outlet business plan, revenue targets and expense budgets and present for review with the Director of F&B to ensure this is in line with Jumeirah Group policies.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback and complaints ensuring procedures are followed to preserve the restaurants.
  • Monitors and forecast progress against the plan throughout the year and initiate corrective actions, if required, to drive optimal performance and achieve financial and other business targets.
  • Ensures Guests’ dining experience by maintaining consistently high personalised service standards, good food quality and presentation, in line with their expectations.
  • Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs, evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands.
  • Monitors reports, customer feedback, competitor activities and industry trends to ensure the restaurant concepts, services and menus deliver required business results.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry.
  • Attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks to stay up to date with international trends and to ensure the competitive advantage of the restaurant.
  • Ensures purchasing, stock control and food cost control, selecting good value high quality products in line with the outlet budgets.
  • Maintaining availability whilst minimising waste and loss.
  • Ensures compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity.
  • Recommends continuous improvements to departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide instructions and guidance to subordinates for successful implementation where necessary.
  • Monitor’s manager’s adherence to policies so that work is carried out in a controlled manner while delivering a quality service to guests.
  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business or any relevant field from an accredited College or University.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant role.
  • 3 years of international luxury hospitality industry in managerial position.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
