Job Purpose of A Key Account Manager

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients or customers.
  • Understand the client needs, ensure satisfaction and strategically growing the account to achieve business objectives.

Job Duties of A Key Account Manager

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume & strategic objectives of accounts.
  • Plan, own & execute the sales growth plan for government sector across Abu Dhabi
  • End to end management of key government customer accounts from mapping, customer acquisition to building relationships, understanding complex sales cycles & structure Asus products for effective for sales conversion. This includes planning, forecasting, project management, reporting and after sales follow up.
  • Develop strong relationships with end customer contacts at executive level to gain insight into their business imperatives and IT drivers enabling development of a strategy to sell Asus products & solutions
  • Plan & propose annual/quarterly sales plan to management with roadmap for execution.
  • Proactively leads a joint company strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones for a one and three year period.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Bears overall responsibility for customer ownership and acts as central point of contact and interface between customer & organization.
  • Identify sales opportunities, networking and fact finding and calling on and closing new accounts.
  • Manage and penetrate customers at all levels and develop relationships with accounts that enable achievement of plans and objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver effective selling presentations that implement approved Customer Business Plans and employ effective game theory and negotiating strategies.
  • Develop timely and accurate forecasts (volume and spend) for accounts and revise based on actual performance.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, services and management resources to meet account performance objectives.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate degree or equivalent (MBA Preferred)
  • 5 plus years of experience in similar role.
  • Have proven track record of handling government end customer accounts for IT products & solutions in UAE/GCC.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Understands government tender requirements with relevance to IT hardware & solutions.
  • Highly motivated self starter with a competitive personality, strong attention to detail and a hunger to win.
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C level.
  • Experience in delivering client focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
