The aspiring candidate will work at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab (a subsidiary of Jumeirah Group) in Dubai. Job Purpose of An Information Technology Administrator

The main purpose of this role is to oversee and to provide both Guests and Colleagues with the best possible IT support services within the limits of established Jumeirah policies and procedures.

Duties of An Information Technology Administrator

  • Works within the ITIL process framework ensuring all activities are accurately logged in the Enterprise Service Management System.
  • Provides first-level IT support to colleagues and guests within agreed SLAs.
  • Facilitate the interaction between end users and higher-level support.
  • Monitor system and network performance and organize maintenance activities.
  • Perform daily, monthly, and yearly backups of the systems.
  • Process renewal of the annual maintenance contracts.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
  • Setting up accounts for new users.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
  • Testing new technology.
  • Possibly training junior staff.
  • Maintain all user’s access request and authorizations (Windows, E-mail, Opera, Micros, etc.).
  • Respond to all users requests and provide them with adequate support.
  • Must know the Network fundamentals, general network setup, and device configuration.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Management, and Implementations.
  • Monitors and maintains proper inventory of hardware and software license.

Who Can Apply?


  • Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent from an accredited College.


  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Hospitality, Operations, and IT support roles.
  • Experience with these Hospitality-related applications and or systems (PMS, POS, Key card, PBX, Voice mail, IPTV, etc.).


  • Certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, etc.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative, and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations skills.
  • Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English is essential and Additional Language is an added advantage.
