Job Purpose of A Finance & Risk Systems Manager

  • Finance Systems & Business Intelligence is one of the units within the Group Finance functions.
  • Responsible for driving key Finance transformation initiatives across finance & risk domains, enable regulatory reporting automation and deliver operational & analytical MIS & dashboards covering all functions within finance.
  • Leading regulatory reporting automation across key jurisdictions of ENBD Group.
  • Enable / Operationalize “Finance Data Product” and “Finance Business Oriented” MIS & dashboards
    supporting in “Data Governance” Initiatives.

Duties of A Finance & Risk Systems Manager

  • Driving end to end Regulatory Reporting Automation for key jurisdictions such as CBUAE and MAS610, while extending functional support from a data perspective for others such as SAMA, CBE, RBI and UK jurisdictions.
  • Supporting key Data Governance Initiatives across data definition standardization, process & system standardization, addressing key data quality issues in source system and extending the source system (as required) to support new / changes to regulations.
  • Supporting Bank’s “Data Product Roadmap” by providing required functional requirements from Finance perspective.
  • Leading the “Finance Data Product Domain” and enabling Finance specific data marts, reports & dashboards.
  • Drive detailed business requirements and specifications jointly with respective business owners (across Finance and Risk), participate and lead Business.
  • Define and document the detailed business interpretations, business logics and functional specifications.
  • Ideation and conceptualization of functional solution & design for key business requirements areas.
  • Define overall architecture and design principles for Risk & Finance platform across all functional areas, to ensure solution scalability & ease of maintenance, in conjunction with Bank Data and Platform teams.
  • Conceptualize and define Key Architectural Principles for setting up of “Integrated Finance & Risk Data layer and data flows between Parent RFO & each of the Child RFO’s.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Detailed Business interpretations, business logic definition and configuration considerations.
  • Participate in detailed data workshops with Vendor & IT teams.
  • Define detailed business logics for data sourcing from a functional perspective.
  • Define key design / configuration principles to ensure all configurations are set up from futuristic perspective and enable ease of on-going maintenance.
  •  Define detailed test strategy & test approach for business validations.
  • Review the IT / vendor created project documentation i.e., functional specifications document and high-level design document and provide feedback / enhancements as needed and ensure correctness and completeness of the documentations.
  • Ensure business user requirements and project deliverables are covered optimally and work closely with PMO team for overall project planning from a Finance perspective.
  • Proactively identify any data issues and / or surround system enhancements required.
  • Perform independent functional UAT in parallel to vendor SIT prior release of all calculations & reports to end Finance users for final validation.
  • Develop & test operational and analytical reports on MSBI / Tableau
    work with various teams to put forth any new processes and plan for a smooth knowledge transition to teams as part of system Go-Live planning.

Who Can Apply?


  • Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance is preferred.


  • Overall 10-12 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Risk Consulting and / or functional consulting in ALM / FTP / Basel Credit Risk & Regulatory Reporting solution implementations.
  • Hands-on experience as a functional lead in Regulatory reporting automation initiatives in Banking is a must-have.
  • Additionally, experience in implementing regulatory reporting solutions in other jurisdictions like KSA or Egypt.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Strong understanding of Banking products, product characteristics / behavior and cash flows.
  •  Good understanding of ENBD’s Core Banking systems such as Finacle, FINNONE and other sources, from a functional and data perspective.
  • Detailed understanding of ENBD’s GL COA Segments, appreciation of key financial reporting aspects and  accounting plans for key products.
  • Deep subject matter understanding and functional expertise in IFRS9, ALM, FTP, Basel III Liquidity Risk, IRRBB, Regulatory Reportingm.
  • Detailed understanding of relevant regulations such as IFRS9, Basel II / III Credit Risk, LCR & NSFR, IRRBB.
  • Good understanding of Regulatory Reporting Guidelines across key jurisdictions such as CBUAE, MAS and RBI.
