Security Guard

A security guard is a professional who is responsible for protecting people and property by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Security guards work in a variety of settings, such as office buildings, retail stores, banks, hospitals, and other public or private facilities.

The role of a security guard includes monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, checking for unauthorized access or activity, identifying and responding to potential security threats, and reporting any incidents to the appropriate authorities. Security guards may also be responsible for conducting searches, operating security equipment, and enforcing safety and security policies.

Security guards need to have strong observation and communication skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. They must also be physically fit, as they may need to stand or walk for long periods of time, or perform physically demanding tasks, such as restraining individuals who pose a threat.
